The solution to pain you’ve been searching for

Pain is more than just a physical condition. It affects every area of your life – from the nature of your relationships and career, to how you perform the everyday tasks you used to take for granted.

The worst part is, only those who’ve experienced acute or chronic pain know just how debilitating and all-encompassing it can be.

That’s why so many people who suffer from pain end up feeling trapped, frustrated and alone.

Maybe it seems like you’ve tried every treatment out there (and none of them have really worked).

Or you’ve been told that nothing more can be done to alleviate your pain, leaving you feeling desperate and out of options.

I’m Gail Dasher – founder of Moving Forward Therapy in Birmingham, Alabama – and I want you to know that there is a solution.

And even though right now it feels like your pain is always going to control you, together we’re going to flip that situation around and give YOU the power to take charge of your body.

A new approach to healing

I established Moving Forward Advanced Therapy because I believe that the best way to treat pain is to deal with it holistically.

My approach to pain therapy is unique because I get to the heart of the problem through a powerful system of bodywork known as Myofascial Release.

But I don’t stop there.

I also incorporate pain coaching into our sessions, so you have the tools you need to manage your pain over the long-term.

I teach you how your brain is wired to respond to pain, so you can gently reprogram it and control your flare-ups.

I also listen…and I care.

You see, I recognize that every person is different and that there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach when it comes to pain. That’s why I’ll always tailor your treatments to your individual needs.

Why Myofascial Release is so different (and effective)

Myofascial Release is a safe, gentle whole body approach to treating pain.

In fact, it’s increasingly considered to be one of the most effective treatments available for chronic pain, nerve damage and a variety of other conditions.

What makes it so powerful?

Well, if you’ve ever experienced a traditional massage, you probably already know that the results typically last for just a few hours. That’s because most massages (even sports massages) only focus on the muscle.

In contrast, Myofascial Release concentrates on restoring the three-dimensional web that protects every part of your body (the Fascia).

Pain develops because the Fascia becomes tight and restricted as a result of injury or trauma. In fact, this tightening can place up to 2,000 pounds of force per square inch on the affected area of your body.

During a Myofascial Release treatment, the therapist will apply sustained pressure on the fascia so it relaxes to its original cushion-like state, thereby releasing the pain and increasing your mobility.

This is why it’s so effective. It treats your pain at the source, which means it actually works over the long-term.

A qualified therapist who understands

Gail Dasher founded Moving Forward Advanced Therapy because she wanted to create a safe space for healing, so that people living with acute or chronic pain could finally get the treatment and care they needed.

Gail has suffered from chronic pain herself, giving her a direct insight into what it’s like to live with the debilitating condition. After experiencing the power of Myofascial Release, she was inspired to share this amazing form of bodywork with others.

In addition to being a licensed massage therapist with 22 years experience, Gail has studied Myofascial Release with the best in the industry, having taken over 800 hours of continued education and earning expert designation in Myofascial Release with John F. Barnes, PT.

She has also completed Explain Pain courses with David Butler and Lorimer Moseley, as well as Biology of Pain courses.

Gail has helped hundreds of people relieve their pain, increase their mobility and start living happy, healthy lives again.
