A compassionate, healing touch

I believe that life is for living, laughing and loving…not coping, struggling or just getting by.

Unfortunately, when you suffer from acute or chronic pain, it’s hard to imagine that you’ll ever enjoy a healthy, happy life again.

I know, because I’ve been there.

But I came through the other side and now I want to help YOU do the same.

Gail Dasher-800w

Hi! I’m Gail Dasher – Compassionate healer.

Hope provider. Chronic pain survivor.

I’m on a mission to help you overcome your pain, restore your body and reclaim your life.

My clients call me “Super Gail” because my treatments have allowed them to function normally again after years of suffering from debilitating pain.

But while my method might seem like magic, it’s actually based on sound scientific, biological and psychological principles.

As a designated expert Myofascial Release therapist, I founded Moving Forward Therapy to create a safe space for healing for people (like you) living with acute or chronic pain.

This revolutionary system of bodywork treats your pain at the source by restoring your connective tissue through a combination of massage, movement and stretching.

In addition to my hands-on treatments, I incorporate coaching and education into my sessions so you’ll always have the power to self-manage your pain at home.

You’ll also discover how your brain processes the information that leads to pain, allowing you to reprogram these patterns and avoid future flare-ups.

It’s a powerful method that gets results, because it treats pain at every level.

What I know:

  • You’re not broken (even if you feel that way). Your body and mind are resilient and, with the right guidance, you can overpower your pain.
  • Pain is complex and multifaceted, and requires an integrated response.
  • Healing is a process, not an event. Some people will find it relatively easy. Others will find the journey longer and more challenging. Either way, you should never give up.

No matter how dark your life is right now, I’m living proof that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Twenty years ago, I struggled to stand up for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

Today I run a thriving business, enjoy a wonderful relationship and regularly go swing dancing (in heels, no less)!

My story

I’ve lived with the anguish of chronic pain and there was a time when I thought it was going to beat me.

My early life was checkered with various traumas, injuries and accidents, all of which took their toll and would ultimately contribute to my condition.

However, the real nightmare began when I had a faulty device implanted in my jaw during a medical procedure, which over time softened and fractured my skull. I lived in immense pain for a few years before undergoing six surgical procedures in an attempt to fix the problem, although nothing could repair the damage completely. In fact, the surgery had its own set of complications and further contributed to my pain.

My whole body was affected: severe headaches and jaw pain became an unavoidable part of daily life, while the chronic pain would also impact my neck, shoulders, back, and hips.

I suddenly went from living a happy, fulfilling life to being unable to perform simple tasks, like taking a walk or chewing my food.

Holding down a regular job became a struggle and I had to come to terms with the limitations of my condition.

My relationships also suffered and no one seemed to understand what I was going through.

In short, I was miserable.

But one day I decided that I had a choice: I could continue to let the pain control me or I could fight back and take charge of my life.

My pain became my motivation and I became determined to overcome it.

In addition to my regular medical treatment, I sought out various alternative therapies and found that massages helped me deal with my stress, which in turn slightly eased my condition.

In fact, I loved the relaxing sensation so much that I decided to change career paths and become a licensed massage therapist myself, which also gave me the freedom to choose my own working hours as I recovered.

Then I tried a new type of treatment I’d never heard of before – Myofascial Release – and it was nothing short of life-changing.

I was treated by some of the best therapists in the industry and experienced an incredible transformation, gradually overcoming my pain and returning to a normal, happy life.

It was my calling and I realized that I wanted to help other people suffering from chronic pain experience the many benefits of Myofascial Release.

I took over 800 hours of continued education in Myofascial Release with John F. Barnes – an internationally recognized and leading authority in the industry – and earned expert designation as a therapist.

That was almost 15 years ago and I haven’t looked back.

I still experience a degree of pain, but it’s nowhere near as intense or overwhelming as it used to be. With regular Myofascial Release self-treatment (the same method I teach my clients), I can live a full and active life – something I once thought would be impossible.

My clients love working with me because they know I understand their pain in a way that so many other healers and medical professionals don’t.

That’s the thing: I don’t just treat you in a cool, clinical way. I’ve been where you are and I’ll be your cheerleader every step of the way as you overcome the pain and heal your body.
